NEW Audioque SD 2.5 15's from China. Still a nice woofer?

Was thinking of buying 2 of the new Audioque SD 2.5 15's since Tj said I can get 2 for $400 shipped to me in Canada.

They say there rated for 500rms, but would it be a problem to wire them to 1000rms? Can they take it? Im looking to wire them to my 2 Cadence TXA 1000D's, 1000 @ 1ohm each or strapped for 2000 @ 2ohm.

What VC configuration should I ask for?

What are youre guys opinions on the new line of subs from Audioque? Aparently they sourced out to china for the motors or something? Was hoping for some insight on them

Id like to put them in a big ported box and was hoping they would get LOUD and sound good doing so.

you can not go wrong with anything AQ and they will take the power as long as you keep a clean signal.

The SD2.5s are still built in the USA. The HD series was outsourced to China which is why they're now the HDC series.

well i see people pushing the old ones with 1000+, curious if the new model will.

they only sell dual 4 ohm so I guess its just one sub per amp with my txa 1000D

Ya the subs are dual 4ohm, is there a way to wire each sub to each amp 1 ohm, i cant find a configuaration for that on the site

can u wire 1 dual 4ohm sub to 1 ohm though? I couldnt find a diagram for that if you can, just so I can give them a little more wattage.

Or can I strap the amps together and make something out of that? wiring kind of has me going crazy, but the amps become 2000rms @ 2ohm when strapped

But I only have 1 + and - obviously since one becomes a slave and nothing connects into it
