New amplifier - help needed

Hi all,

I'm running a set of Morel Virtus (AKA the new Dotech) and need and for them.

I have narrowed down my search to 2 final candidates:

1. Celestra FA275X
   
2. Focal Solid 4
   

Both are similarly priced, and currently I don't intend to use the 2 extra channels the Focal offers.

Which one would be the better choice?

I would just go with the focal since you said you could use a 4 channel and the being the focal is the only 4 channel listed

I actually said I don't need the 2 extra channels, no sub planned.

in terms of 2 channel amplification - which one is better?

Actually I haven't, that's why I need your help guys.

I can go either way.

I am asking which amp will give me a better result when connecting my Morel Virtus component set to it.

The extra 2 channels are nice to have, but my top priority is SQ for my components

Just do the Celestra then. SQ will be more dependent on install than amplifier choice between those two. I would go 2 channel if that is all I need. No sense in wasted space or energy.

Or you could bridge the focal and get some extra output.

Has anyone heard any of the amps and can give his first hand impression?

Not much reviews on the not for neither, yet both are entry level amps of high-end brands.

I have never ran the Focal but I have seen it in many installs. Never seen anyone run celestra so cant help u there and I doubt many on here have.

Pretty sure the focal solid line is now called fpp series. For a better sq amp look into the fps line focal. I have a fps 2.160 and it sounds great
