my first of 2 1000/1's is in! this think hits without a doubt harder than any amp i have ever heard that is rated at 1000 watts and i'm only using 1/4 gain with no boost at all!!! well actually its half gain at high volt setting ends up being about a fourth of potential... besides that i can't turn it up but to half of system volume because electrical system voltage drops... upgrading alt at the end of the week... this is a purely sick amp though... anyways with this kind of power is it very bad to have a sealed box for (4) 10w6v2's oversized by .6 cubes if you have poly in it? i hear that the poly actually in effect helps to decrease the space the sub is in... i thought it only dampend but it doesn't seem to cause a problem

I tried the poly stuffing and hated it. Your experience may be different though. Its worth a try, you can always pull it out (like I did). 2 1000/1 will surely need upgraded elect. I have a 260 amp alt in my truck from the factory and my 500/1 300/4 and 250 watt alpine start to dimm the lights.

yeah i got a 200 amp alt coming... and later 3 optima yellow tops, and i allready have a 25 farad hybrid cap but man that thing is @$$ i think it actually hurts the power... but now i got stock electrical and that cap for a 1000/1 and a RF 750x4 love that RF but its got a horrible draw on it somethin like 70 amps for the highs and mids

EDIT: right now i get drops so low the amp cuts off which is i believe below 10 volts

Unless the polyfill is packed really densely in there, it makes the sub "think" it's in a larger enclosure, reducing the power handling.
