They took quite the beating but I finally managed to release the smell of defeat out of one of my 2200s.

.25 ohm each for 3 months daily!



The other 2200 is currently running at .5 again for the mean time.

Now the decision. Repair the blown 2200 and wire up to 2 ohms strapped or go for a single "big boy" amp.

I don't think ill be happy with with the power output of them at 1ohm each. Could cost more to repair than to buy another

Another 2200 for around $270

An SQ3500 and run it at .5 ohm $600

New Taramps HD5K (2ohm version) 6000rms at 2ohms $750

Used Taramps HD6500 (1ohm version) 5000 rms at 2ohms $600

I can get a brand new one from Banda for $790. The 1ohm version does 5100 @2ohms @ 12.6 volts.

Im in the same boat as you homie. Exact same boat but with hifonics and no wall.

Its not that these subs dont get loud with the power we give em, we just want to see them b*tches dance and flex! Soo much more xmax could be had on mines.

dont bother, just dissapointment waiting to happen 0.5 ohm on crazy good electricals, maybe. Anything lower than .5, HELL NO!

Lol. Guess I'm going to send the other 2200 for repairs. Then run both at 1ohm each until I find a deal on a bigger amp. No point in having a broken amp sitting around anyways.
