So I am considering buying a new amp, since I am pretty sure my old one is at least partially fried (I have a post here discussing it with no replies :p). It as an Autotek AT1000 and has been a great amp. So I was wondering if Autotek is actually a good brand? I was looking at their AXL line of amps.

If not, what do you all recommend? I need something that outputs at least 250W @ 4 Ohms into 2 Channels. My subs are 200W RMS @ 4 Ohm, but the impedance increased to roughly 6 Ohms in my boxes.

Shoot, if you can fit it, I'd suggest the Boston Acoustics GT-2200 (or, better yet, the 2300). Significant boost in quality over the Autotek and some good, old-fashioned A/B power for your subs. OnlineCarStereo has them for a pretty good deal, too.

I would prefer to keep it around $100, but I also don't want to skimp on quality. But being a sort of a bind I may have to fork over some more money. I like the looks of the Boston Acoustics, but at the moment I just can't do it. Maybe next month on the 10th when I get paid again... But I am stll open to suggestions!

That kind of power for $100 isn't going to be easily found new. Keep your eyes to the classifieds and hope someone is selling something used for crackhead pricing.
