new amp mounting idea

Today i was trying to think of a design to put in my headliner. First i thought about puting a logo, then i thought about using the design on my kicker amp, then i thought about mounting my amps in the headliner. i kind of like it because it keeps the amps hidden. It's also pretty origional. What do you guys think of the idea?

Its not original, many have done it. This topic was brought up very recently. It CAN be done, but also CAN be dangerous to the amps. Because the amps will be mounted upside down, heat rises. So the heat sinks will dissipate the heat generated by the amp back into the components of the amp. But if you figured a way to mount them right-side up, and cooled them properly with some fans, I would say go for it.

Thank's I never thought of that. Anyway, it was just an idea. What if I was using th new mtx amps with the built in fans, you know the xtant cooling technology.

if its in the headliner where is it gonna get air from? i used to have the audiobahn intake series amp and the amp still got hot, but my dei amps ive used viper/orion didnt have fans and barely get warm

LOL.....probably because the fan didn't do a whole hell of a lot. I know in the somewhat older A-bahn amps the fans just shot the air back out of the bottom of the amp. Didn't blow over the board or anything, which essentially made the fans nothing more than a novelty piece with essentially zero functionality
