I am a senior Electrical Engineering student, and for my senior design project, I was going to design an amplifier. One of the requirements of the project is to come up with something not currently implemented by major companies.

I would like to ask for things people would like in an amp that are either hard to find or not available on the market.

Filters, settings, touchscreen controls, ETC.... Please let me know. If this works out well, It will be marketed and possibly end up on shelves.

unregulated power supplies that are over built, super low thd, and high, low, bandpass crossovers to easily allow active operation. possibly a readout of the clamped wattage on the top of the amp. all tucked into a sleek and sexy heatsink.

btw, are you thinking a mono sub amp or a 2/4 chan mid high amp?

Digital readings of crossover points so you can get it dead on easily.

i really like the auto gain idea.

that would make the forum so much less cluttered with why did my ish blow up threads.

but i needs to have the option to turn it down from the optimal to control the amount of power being put out. say if you want 500 of the 750 that the amp will do.

Both. To automatically be able to pick up the 5v signal from the hu but have also have a way to manually tell the amp to do a certain wattage.

i would like to see water cooled amps. the application is there its just not that simple.
