New alternator needed?

Just bought a new system for my 1997 Intrepid from Best Buy. My last system was totally jacked from me, 5"1/4's, 6x9's, amps, subs, deck, the whole shit. So i'm out about $5,000.00 until the insurance check comes. Enough with that, i don't want to discuss it. Anyways, i just got a new Kenwood deck with Kenwood Performance Series 6x9's and Infinity 5"1/4's. I also got a Rockford P3 on an Alpine MRP-M850 mono class D amp. Now.. I need to know if my stock alternator (which i put back on after my other shit was jacked) will support the extra ~30 ampre load added on to the normal one. Will i need to put my old aftermarket one back on or will this do suit well?

Any help will be well appreciated!

Yeah man. I think I'll do some tinkering once those dudes at best buy do the grunt work. I will check it out before i leave. I plan on building a new box for it soon, since it's only one 12" and i have like 8 sheets of MDX in my garage. I'll have to see if that P3 would sound better sealed or vented.

Otherwise that alpine is all I'm running. I think the deck won't effect the load at all really.

Do you know the amperage of your alternator? Some people will say it's a myth that you can burn out an alternator with a sound system, but I have gone through two alternators myself. This is why I started doing my own install. The sound system adds to the amperage that is being drawn out of your alternator. If you run other things, i.e. the headlights, wipers, heater, etc, all at once you do have a chance of exceeding the amperage your alternator is designed for. In that caseit can burn out. Check your battery cables. Is there an unusual amount of corrosion or acid residue on them? If there is I suggest getting a higher output alternator. It can get pretty expensive having to replace batteries and cables over and over.

I got it all in today and it works fine, i can't turn the volume up past 25 idling but when i'm cruising i can crank it. I think i might get a capacitor for it though because i can tell them big bass lines are a bit wobbly. Too bad the ****ing retards at best buy ****ed the wiring up. I checked it and they had crossed some wires in my 6x9's, so my protect shit came on my deck about 35 min. ago. I'm kind of pissed but i'm going back there tomorrow and ***** like a woman.

My last system was 5 G's man. I had a kenwood cd/dvd deck with a 7" touch screen, 2 mid and tweeters in each door, the 6x9's which my friend made for me, and then i had two orion H2 15" subs driven by two older model JBL amps. I'd tell you all the model numbers and shit but i have nothing to reference, except a couple of receipts which the police have.

Those H2's were badass.. Best subs i've ever owned... Each sub running about 1900-1950 watts RMS, it was beast.
