ok well my alt is dieing, just got it checked at the mechanic. well i might as well get a decent HO while im at it. im running two type r's, on a aq 1200d. theoretically lets say i want to run like 4 15's. what strength of alt should i get, and how much approx would that cost?

HO Alt would be nice from DC Power, but running a AQ 1200d I think a Stock alt will work fine with a MissingLinkAudio Module.
The MLA adapter would work, but why not simply replace with a slightly bigger alt? He already has to buy a new alt, why not just get a 200a alt and be done? If he did not already need a new alt, then I would say the MLA would do fine.
