new 880prs w/ cb100-no sound from ipod

I hooked up the 880prs and I hear sound on CD's and the radio but on the ipod there is no sound. It displays the text like it's playing but there's no sound.

I'm wondering if the likely culprit could be the cb100?

I'm using aftermarket amps and components.

Yes, I hooked up the blue w/ white stripe wire from the HU. It only has one remote wire anyway.

mine works just fine.

does the ipod give the okay to disconnect message?

make sure you unplug the headphones before you connect the ipod.

You probably did what I did, connected the wires wrong. They are color coded for a reason, blue with blue black with black.

For whatever reason, hooking it up backwards allows the Text to display, but no sound to play...dont know why but it's what happens.

Actually, I did hook it up backwards. I went to the shop where i bought it and asked them what might be wrong. The dude knew right away.

They're actually color coded backwards. The blue end doesn't plug into the blue spot on the ipod adapter. I had matched them up color wise not realizing that I was plugging into the input instead of output.
