New 55" tv wont play audio from xbox help. pics

Just bought this 55" hitachi rear projection tv from a wholesaler for $150. Its pretty big, I got it to play cable just fine and the audio works for that. But when I switch over to my xbox360 it plays the picture fine, but theres no sound.

I tried connecting both the what I think is the HD way, thats how its connected in the pics Ive never connected anything HD before so I dont know if its right. With the green/blue/red cables connected, and my xbox cord switch to HDMI (necessary??)

And also tried to connect it the way it was on my last tube tv, with the red/white/yellow and I didnt get any picture or video, and the xbox cord was switched to TV. I couldnt get it to work by plugging it into any of the other sets of plugs.

How should it be connected here?

Use the component cable, switch it to HD and plug the 5 coded plugs into the 5 going down a straight line (input 3). You won't use yellow.

LOL in the pics you forgot to plug in the other 2 white and red rcas.

you should have 5 total plugged in when doing HD. and make sure your switch is on hd

Theres also these connections on the front of the tv.

And heres the tv itself ontop of my dresser at the end of my bed. Has 3 dead pixels, pretty large though compared to my 32" I had there lol

Oh shit you guys are fast. ****, I thought there was 3 for regular tv, 3 for HD. Didnt think I wasnt plugging in the audio rcas (figured I woulda thought of that being stereo inclined)
