The molds completed a few days ago and the first samples rolled out -- here are a few of the first look photos from our basket manufacturing company!

I am super excited about the potential these will bring to out larger woofers.

Once our new spiders, cones, surrounds, and spacers are all tooled we can really show off what these are capable of -- those parts should have completed samples as well soon too.

These things carry some serious heft... the base plate that bolts to the motor is 9mm thick un-painted compared to 5mm on most 4 and 12-spokes and 8mm on the Ti-18 frames (add about 0.5mm for paint). They are the strongest frames that I am aware of ever to be produced.

I am incredibly excited... like a kid in a candy store. There are so many woofers I have wanted to build / prototype that I just haven't been able to do with existing frames -- now it's all wide open //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Can't wait to start pushing the limits of the new platforms !!!

might as well go for the most powerful woofer in production.
Agreed, those things look beastly as he!! should be able to hold some serious harware!!

can't wait to see what you do with them!

what are we looking at for pricing on baskets, cones and spiders? What size spiders will be available? How much excursion will the surrounds be capable of handling?

I haven't set pricing on any of the new parts.

10 has 7 1/4 and 8 3/8 landing

12 has 7 1/4, 8 3/8, and 9 1/4 landing

15 has 8 3/8, 9 1/4, and 10 1/8 landing

We current use 7/14 on Z v.3 10/12, the 8 3/8 on Z v.3 15, and 9 1/4 on Z v.3 18 model woofers for comparison sake.

We won't really use the 7 1/4 outside of custom re-cones and DIY stuff... stock woofers with these frames will use the largest landings on each size.

I have a separate thread going on with info on the surrounds -- each one is designed for 5mm more than what the basket can physically handle :
