I bought a 15" neon light bar today for my trunk. I checked it out on the internet and it said it had a 2 wire hookup for amps or distribution blocks. but when i bought the same one it only had the cigarette lighter hookup but its a 2 intwined in one so i was wondering if anyone know how to if possible cut this and wire it up. thank you for the help!

well inside most of ths cig plug things is a fuse so i would add a fuse to the wire and a switch so you can turn it on and off when i put leds in a while ago i had then hooked up the speaker terminals so they would flash with the beat kinda cool i guess

x2 fuse is a must cause those thing short out internaly sometimes.

Just hook up one to + and one to - and have a switch to turn them on and off.

Heard bad things about hooking them up to your speaker Terminals.

Is what I heard true? not sure but if it was me I wouldn't do it.

so if i cut it i could just plug them into speaker terminals thats it? or is there more to it? lol wait no im confused now lol someone should draw a pic on paint or sumtin...i wanted to cut the wire, fuse and switch it? and plug into where? confused pretty bad now...does this help it has a music interface in line that has and on off switch? and with that do i still need to fuse?

Hook one wire up to eather that battery + terminal or 12v accesory in the fuse panel.

Take the other wire and ground it or right 2 the - battery terminal.

Or just hook them up to the speaker terminals like said above.

Fuse the + wire no matter what way you do it. as close to the amp or battery you can get it.
