Needing New Subwoofer

Well I currently have a 12" Lightning Audio Bolt Series subwoofer that I got to kinda introduce myself to car audio. You can see it in the Level setting? Not Gain Setting? Post in general. Anyhow it's just not very loud. It's almost drowned out by my cabin speakers lol. I have a Jensen 100w x 4 @ 4 ohms amp to run it off of, and I also have a Lanzar Opti 100w x 2 @ 4 ohms amp sitting in a corner. The Jensen is installed in the trunk right now but I could switch it out if for some reason that was important. Anyhow the Jensen bridges to 250 x 2 @ 4 ohms, and then I'm assuming 500 x 2 @ 2 ohms if I get DVC Subs. I have no idea if the alternator in my Corolla can even put out that much current ;P. It seems very cheap. I don't have all that much money to spend on the sub, probably 100$ max. I just want something better that could actually qualify as a sub lol. Sound quality isn't as important to me as volume. I love the feeling of the air pressure changes. When subs hit very like... clearly and accurately it is good too but the major complaint with my LA Sub is that it is so darn quiet. It actually doesn't sound bad. Anyways if anyone has suggestions of subs or anything, I'd appreciate it. Also opinions on that MA Audio sub. Where would I realistically be able to get a 12" Type R for 100$ Shipped? Also I would only be able to throw absolute max 1000w at it maybe... that's not enough to get any reasonable output from one of those is it? Aren't they rated at like 2,500w or something absurd.

Are Type R's a Porting sub? I have a friend with 2 12" Alpine Type-S in probably 3cuft sealed and they are loud. They are on an Audiobahn 8002T 800w amp. 400w each I beleive. Anyhow those are loud. Would this be comparable or even louder ported? I really don't know how much space I could supply it but taking up my entire trunk I could probably put it in about 4 or 5 cubes. Also I can't seem to find any for under 100$ on Ebay... They are all like 130, 140 shipped. Any comments on that MA Audio sub I put up?

Oooh Thanks! I need to go out there tomorrow with the multimeter and try to figure out how much power that amp can put out. Do you think it could get audible off of 500w? Also does it make sense that a 250w @ 4 ohm load would become 500w @ 2 ohms? Should it double the power or should it increase the power by half so 250 + 125 = 375w? Any other input on other subs or stuff would still be appreciated. That looks to be a pretty good deal though. I've read the million Type R Hype threads so I would bet it would be nice to listen to.

Oh also I don't really need to get louder than him, but if I could get as loud as him that'd be nice. His are a good volume. Very audible. I love loud noises so the louder the better lol. I know the SQ on the Type R's will be good so I wouldn't worry there.

as far as subs for $100 shipped you cant really do much better than the type r.

SBLAZER I'm near Joliet, in New Lenox. Would that Infinity Kappa get loud off of 250w? I sadly don't have a lot of power to work with yet. I'm not too positive as to what that Jensen is capable of. I bought it at a flea market so I don't have a maual or anything, and it's so old there are no tech specs for it anywhere. It's an A432. I never knew that these high quality subs were this low. So you guys think it should be between that Infinity Kappa and the Type R? Off the same power output how would they do in relation to each other in the same box?

I also just found while looking through all the Day after Thanksgiving sale ads that at Tweeter they have JL Audio Subs on sale. They have the 12W04 for 84.99 each, and the 10W04 for 69.99 each. Is that a deal? Would those be a possiblity for me as well? I know JL's are way up there as far as quality goes.

If those do fit I've so far got:

12" Type R

12" MA Audio 12XEC

12" Infinity KAPPA

12" JL 12W04

Any more input is greatly appreciated...

Surely somone knows something about those JL's. That looks to me like a good deal but I just don't know. I don't know the difference between all the w's and v's and numbers in the JL subs.
