Needed: box design for 8" sub

Hey.

I am looking to build a box for a 8" subwoofer. I am going to be using this sub for my Home Theater system, so it can't be a huge box.

So, I am a total noob to building and designing boxes. I need to knoiw all the measurments that will make it sound killer.

I want it ported, but don;t know which type of port to do.

I just basically need help in every aspect.

Like:

How many cu. ft.

Port placement and sub placment.

Dimensions.

Not really looking to pay for a design... I am going to do this in Shop class.
