need your help Pioneer 5900ib installation

hi guys, i installed a pioneer 5900ib in my sister's 2001 mitsubishi galant

attached the ground wire to the mounting sleeve that is connected to a metal part in the dash.

it doesn't turn on.

so i took the ground off, and wiggled some wires then it worked!

i was putting it back and it turned off again.

so i tried wiggling more wires and it seems to turn off and on.

that is with or without the ground connected to the mounting sleeve.

i tried isolating the wires one by one b ut i can't find it.

idk, what do you guys think?

somewhere you have a loose wire in it. how are your wires attatched

soldered everything from the harness.

hmm how about the plug going to the deck? also did i read right you grounded the "sleeve" or chassis to metal frame of car? or was it the deck's body?

yes. what should i do?

plug going to the deck fits nicely, not loose or anything.

i grounded it to the mounting bolt which i believe is connected to the frame.

the wierd thing is its still turning on and off even if the ground wasn't connected.

disconnect the ant sometimes decks will use the ant as a ground.
