I need something that will sound good with my 15" Fi Q in the trunk of my Buick Park Avenue. The mid range speakers are 5-1/4". I'd like to keep it between $200-300, but if it's over that I guess I can live. I don't mind spending money on speakers/amps as long as they are good quality, because I can always just put them in my new car or whatever if I ever get one.

I haven't been keeping up on car audio much, so I'm just looking for some suggestions on what would sound good in my price range.

Thanks for your time.

EDIT: If it matters, I have a Alpine iDA-x300 headunit.

I have a 2000 park avenue and I just picked up a pair of hybrid audio imagines I'll let you know how they are when I get them in, should be this weekend. I have cadence speakers in it now and they get plenty loud but the tweeters are harsh

The HAT imagines are great for the price, and are continually becoming more popular. But remember, the speaker is only half the battle, the quality of the install will have alot to do with how it's going to sound.

I'm also a big fan of JL C-5 speakers. You should be able to find the comps for around $300ish last I checked

I've never really done a speaker install before. What are the main factors in these types of installs?

Sound deadening, good solid mounting, as in no flimsy factory plastic brackets, location and direction of mid-woofer and tweets

I looked into these and these look like a pretty good deal. What would be a good amp to pair with them?
Depends on your budget really.

****, looks like I'm going to be getting my head into more then expected. Hahaha.

AT MOST I want to spend like, 400 dollars for everything.

I'm guessing sound deadening and wiring is going to be a good 100-200 just in itself. ****.

Maybe I need to start selling drugs.
