so the other day somehow water got on my amp and blew both of my woofers in the doors and the amp so i need new speakers cant be any deeper than 2 3/4in max from mounting surface to back of magnet and actually needs to be a little less than that.

main concern is SQ and would like it to hit down to 50hz or less since i dont have a sub right now

had some kicker ks6.2 in before dont want anything less in quality than them(im sure many wont consider them quality at all :p)

trying to spend $200 or less since i have to buy an amp on top of that

If you have an active capable amp I would recommend a set of exodus Anarchy's and some vifa xt25's. Would sound amazing and definitely can get below 50hz and could be had for around $180 for it all

To hit 50 Hz with any authority in a door a 6.5" speaker needs to have a deep/tall motor. This is because it needs to move the cone farther to displace more air. 2.75" of depth is midrange territory, and generally 70-80 Hz is the low end for that size of speaker. It makes a lot more sense to plan to add even 1 small subwoofer and save your speakers the unnecessary beating to try to cover bass frequencies. This isn't a matter of finding a great deal on speakers, it's a matter of physical limitations.

I could do JBL MS-62C for around $200. JBL P660C is also in your price range and it plays a little lower than MS-62C.

those woofers look to deep for my doors:/ and cant find them anywhere and the tweeter though im sure it would sound good wouldnt fit the stock location with that point on it :/ thanks for the suggestion though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

how does the JBL MS-62C compare to the JBL P660C in terms of sound quality?
