need something to match amp

i just got 2 type r's ported and connected to a kicker zx1000.1 back in november 2007. I love them and I think they are good, but i am really thinking of an upgrade.

I want to sell the two type r's and get a single subwoofer.

The amp can handle:

* 4 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan.

* 2 ohms: 1000 watts x 1 chan.

I was thinking about Fi Q, but does anyone have any better options? I want to use the amp to the best of its ability

Also how much do you think I could get for the type r's in the ported enclosure? They haven't really been used that hard to be perfectly honest

I want a brand that has a good reputation such as Fi, Kicker, Alpine, and so on...Im sure SSA is good, i would just rather not go with them to be honest.

SX12 or SX15

they like to be ported though

either one will wang of a zr1000...i just remembered they do power at 2ohms

i guess if you find one in a dual 4 (only came when requested)

SSA is a good brand i have run RE Kicker, TREO, Alpine, Image Dynamics, DD, eD, you name it ive probably run something from their company.

let me rephrase...i want a subwoofer that i can hear in a store or in person...i can hear Fi, Alpine, Kicker, Diamond audio, JL and so on.

I dont want SSA, RE, TREO because I cant hear them in person. I dont want to buy something blind.

Store bought to me = run of the mill. The sound of the driver is largley dependent on the enclosure you put it in and the enviorment it is used in. a sub in a ported box in my truck may sound good to you, take the same sub and box and put in your car and it sounds like azz or does'nt have as much output. You see my point. Buying something that has a good quality build is your best bet.

yea i know exactly what you mean, if i hear it in person or in a store then i know what to look for online, i can find great quality for a decent price...im looking in the $350 range or whatever i can get for my type r's

2001 toyota avalon, i need to have some room in my trunk for misc items...i looked at the Fi 18" and i tried to get it in but it wouldnt fit.
