Need some suggestions for new 6.5/ 5.25" components...alpine type r's?

Okay, so I revamped the setup in my 07 audi a4 a couple weeks ago and it is worlds apart from the stock crap that was in there. I did the following...

1.)replaced stock HU with pioneer avh4200dvd.

2.)replaced front two speakers with polk db6501 100w rms components,

3.)put those two new speakers on a kenwood excellon 4x100w amp.

I retained the factory amp to power the two rear speakers which I did not replace, but wish I had. I also have a 300w memphis amp powering a memphis 10" sub. Everything sounds great, but after about a week my ears are picking up the intricacies in the sound of the polks in the front and there's a few minor things my ear picks up on. There is a huge imbalance between the front and rear speakers in volume and in punch, because obviously Im assuming the rears are no where near 100w speakers.

Ive been thinking of maybe trying a different brand when I buy the new pair of 6.5" components to replace the rears. Does anyone have suggestions for a good 100w 6.5" to give a try?

I could also move the polks that I have up front to the rear and put the new pair of 6.5"s in the front doors as well, if I find a pair that has superior sound quality. Does anyone have anything worth a try within the 300 dollar range? I was thinking swapping the fronts out with alpine 5.25" type-r's, does anyone have experience with those? If i went to a 5.25 in the front, would I see a significant loss in oomph? I tend to listen to more heavy metal/rock, but I throw rap in a bit as well, if that affects anything.

Thanks

edit: Ive read a couple good reviews about these, anyone have any input?

many people dont use rear speakers at all as the fronts are whats important. The music is supposed to sound like its coming from in front of you

do a search on "rear fill" and you find about it.

I see what your saying, and ive thought of just leaving it how it is. But those rear speakers could add a little 360 degree depth from behind me and right now theyre just way too quiet- and in my car the rear door tweeters are relatively close to where my head is so it would be nice to have a little more sound coming from there. I guess the better question would be now (since I could switch the polks to the rear) what would be a better set to buy for the front doors?
