Ok.
I'm sorta new to this stuff but learning slowly but surely.
I just completed my 2nd head unit install on a 2008 Pontiac G5.
The head unit is a JVC KD-SH1000 I bought from SonicElectronix for $150.
My speakers I'm keeping stock...they sound **** good for stock. Nice and loud.
My friend hooked me up with:
2 12" subs - both are 600 watts peak and 300 rms (MTX and JL Audio)
A box for them
A 1600 watt blitz audio BZA-2460 sub amp
all for $60
So for all this he said I should by a capacitor...so I went out and bought one that came in an amp kit.
The kit doesn't say anything about hooking up 2 ring terminals to the capacitor on both the positive or negative connections. And it doesn't come with extra so it seems like they want me to put 2 wires in one ring terminal. (4 gauge wire going from battery to cap, another going from cap to amp...then 6 gauge going from cap to amp, and another from cap to ground.)
So do I need to get 2 more ring terminals?....I wouldn't think you would put 2 wires in one terminal...don't seem like they would fit anyhow.
Do I even need a capacitor?
