I am looking for a nice set of 5.25 components for around $200.00. I will be running 75 rms to them. I was going to go with a pair of diamond audio s500s but I have read on here they arent recomended. Anyone with any suggestions and places to buy with the cheapest prices would be great. Thanks!

I have a honda passport and I will be useing a kicker kx 350 I think. I have not orderd it yuet because I want to make sure of the speakers I am going to order first. Thanks for your help

That amp will push that component set nicely. If your looking for the best imaging/SQ make sure to put the component set in some kick panels //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Make sure to read that sticky on the enclosure forum about making your own because having a auto shop do it will cost you a pretty penny.

Oh, and are you going to put any other speakers in the rear?

Mike

I was not going to. What do you like about those eclipse speakers. I like music like rush , godsmack, ect. Do you think they will be good for that type of music? I dont like ear peircing highs and I like a little base as well. I have a 12'' sub also.

Those eclipse speakers sound great to my ears. They are very rich when it comes to high notes and the mid delivers a nice thump. Since your using a 5'1/4" component set don't expect too much mid bass out of them. You won't get the kind of mid bass out of 5.25's like you would with 6.50's.

That's why I was asking if you were planning on adding anything in the rear. A nice pair of mids in the rear would give you a very nice "complete" SQ system.

Here's the set that would complete the system.

Of course your probably not ready to get these budget wise because you weren't thinking about putting anything in the rear but this would def. be something you want to install in the future if you ever come up on some extra money.

You could custom mount them. 6.5's are going to give you a better mid bass but not anything remotely close to what the kicker mid's would give you.

I'd say go for 6.5's and just drop the mid kickers if your not a huge audiopile. But if your looking for a crisp all around SQ system keep the 5.25's and figure out a way to add those kicker mids in the rear.
