need some help with my L7's

Hey all im new here and kind of new to car audio in general. I just purchased my first setup this week off of ebay. I got 2 (4 Ohm dvc) L7 12's and a hifonics brutus 1606d amp. My buddy told me that it was possible to wire the subs down to 1 Ohm so I would get 700 rms or so to each sub since the brutus1606 puts out around 1400 rms at 1 ohm. Just got all my hardware in today and I googled some wiring options and it only says I can wire them to 2 or 8 ohms.. You can wire each sub to 2 or 8 ohms individually is what its saying...If you wire both subs parallel (+ to + and - to -) you will achieve 1 ohm

just do positive to positive, negative to negative... do this for both subwoofers ... then attach a wire from 1 pos and 1 neg to the terminals on the amp ... the amp should have 2 sets of terminals... there ya go... 1 ohm load
