I just got my new car a couple of weeks ago. Its a 2000 camaro ss and I need to build a system for it, so far i have a set of alpine type-r components for the front and a kenwood kdc-x891. What i need is a 4 channel amp, speakers for the sail panels, sub or subs, and a mono amp. So far ive been looking at the eD amps but have been reading alot of bad stuff about them. For the 4 channel i would like to stay under 300 Dollars, mono amp under 600 dollars, sub under 400 dollars. A buddy of mine is going to be building the enclosure, its going to be a fiberglass enclosure and be taking up the cubby hole in the rear. Im thinking of doing a ported enclosure for 1-12inch or if possible 1-15inch. I mostly listen to rap, some alternative, and spanish music (mexican). Is a ported enclosure correct for my application? I want it to be loud and have good SQ. Any help would be Appreciated.
