Ok so I just got everything hooked up. I got 2 SSA icon 15" subs in a ported box the dimensions are 44w 18h 20d. What should i set these on the amp?

level

LPF

Subsonic

bass boost

I know that it would be best to just keep the bass boost down all the way. also the remote bass knob does that adjust the level or the bass boost? and is it okay to turn that up thanks!

Amp is a soundstream pca2000d wired down to 2 ohms so there getting 750 a piece when there rated 900+ so should i worry to much about over powering them?

No need for bass boost, it only adds distortion. If you are giving them 750, as you mentioned, you will be fine with power. As for gain setting, I believe there is a nice tutorial in the amplifier section.

The way i set my bass knob is to turn it all the way up, then set your gain on the amp. This way with the knob turned up all the way, you are not clipping the amp.

Set your subsonic filter 2-5 hz below your tuning frequency.

I keep my low pass around 75-80 hz.

its not sarcasm, he means before you set your gains turn the knob all the way up then set the gains and then you can turn the knob down, and whenever you want the big bass you can crank it all the way up and you wont be clipping the subs because you are at the proper gain setting

Well, he didnt mention anything about turning it back down.. and //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif using bass boost can clip the signal, and it usually will if you crank it up all the way.

but if he sets the gains to the proper voltage with the knob up, then turning the knob down when he is not in the mood for as much bass, will only reduce the bass from its full, non-clipping, potential...correct?? this seems pretty reasonable to me, a good way of using the knob and still having no clipping...
