need some help on subs

hey im new to the forum so if i sound dumb its because i am...but i need some prof. help...and it looks to me that alot of ppl on here know what their talking about so...im looking to buy a 10" sub to go in my reg cab s10...im looking at ALPINE SWR-1042D Type R or Kenwood Excelon KFC-XW1002DVC or Pioneer Premier TS-W2504SPL.....or if theres anything better for around the same price...like $150....im looking at an amp with about 300 watts rms....and if theres any other usefull in formation you guys can give me that would be a big help...thank alot for the help....

You're looking for an amp that's about 500-600W RMS if you are looking at those subs. Also, don't bother considering the Kenwood sub... I have yet to hear a kenwood speaker that I like (most of their other exelon stuff is fantastic though). Pioneer sealed, alpine ported. You may want to check out the FS area for some cheap buys. If you can find one, the SoundSplinter RL-i 10" would be fantastic, a little more pricey but worth it.

No. The reason behind my response... it's Audiobahn. Their equipment is cr ap and their service is even worse. Steer clear from Audiobahn so you don't look like a noob when showing off your setup to your friends.

Amps wise... Check into Zapco, Hifonics, almost everything DEI (PPI, Orion, Directed), ED... your options are limitless. I'm sure you could find a da mn fine used unit online in the F/S forums.
