Got bang?
Ok, I have a 1991 Caprice, and need some help on getting some good speakers that have strong mid-bass, the problem is I can only fit 4 x 6 speakers in the front , and 6x9's or 6.5's in the back, so can someone recommend me some good 4x 6 speakers with real good mid-bass? and I also had an idea off mine, what if I bought a good 6.5 inch component set and put the mid-bass woofer in the back, and mounted the tweeter up front, so it wouldnt mess up the sound quality, would this be a good choice?

Not going to happen.

Though for a quality 4x6, I would recommend the Boston Acoustics 746 plate speaker.

But if you think you are going to get any real midbass out of a 4x6 speaker, you're just kidding yourself.

No, that would completely ruin the sound quality of the system.

My advice would be to find a way to mount 6.5" components up front.

Either with custom kickpanels, or mounting them in your door (if you don't mind hacking your car up some).

I going budget for my first set of speakers so I think i'll but some Pioneer Rev Components in the front and then put some Coaxial 6x9's in the back and run them off the HU.

hit up undecoverpunk he has a caprice and his inside speakers sound great

Well right now I have these kicker 6x9's http://cgi.ebay.com/PAIR-NEW-KICKER-DS693-6x9-280w-CAR-AUDIO-3-WAY-SPEAKERS_W0QQitemZ270022606509QQihZ017QQcategoryZ14942QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

SO I want to spend like $125 on my front component set, and like $50 - 75 on some good coaxials in the back.

Scratch the rear fill, and spend that $50 to $75 on a good budget amplifier like Profile or US Acoustics for the front speakers.

Then get in contact with people like 6spdcoupe and Tplaya07 on here and see what components they have in your price range. Rainbow, DLS and OZ Audio all have decent comps that are atleast close to your budget.
