Need some help (Explorer)

alright well this weekend im going to install my sub. I want to keep my stock ford explorer cdplayer for now. I know there is a part that converts something to something so i can use my amp and subs with my stock cdplayer. Does anyone know the parts name? and can anyone with an explorer give me some advice like how hard it was to wire the audio cables from the reciever to the amp threw the dash and hints or anything were you wired the power cables and such. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

u need a line level adapter,and running wires in a expo is quite simple.

another question does this mean that actually music is going to come out of my sub like since its being routed from audio is it gonna act like a door speaker and make my subs play audio??? or will it make it like a bass only line?

This will take place of RCA's....Just the signal..Then you control output through your amp...Hi/Lo whatever you need it for....4 speaker wire installation...I still have the instructions (I Think)
