need some help building a HT setup

i have a sweet TV and now i want to piece together a really sweet, good quality stereo setup to go with it. I'll be using a 15" sub for the subwoofer portion, Mag 15", unless someone buys it. I have a budget of around $1000 for either a Nice receiver set up with sub out or a power/pre-amp combo with sub out. i don't really need 5.1 but i do need at least a nice set of towers to compliment the sub plus a decent center channel. Someone help me out. i'll have a 500 watt dayton subwoofer amp for that.

does not HAVE to be but i really prefer them just due to my tv stand being the way it is

I like the choice of Denon hardware, but I'd go DIY on the speakers.

Then when the budget is there for it, going to Rotel or Parasound seperates.

Then he has to build his own box and stuff for the speakers. How much are the parasound or Rotel seperates, maybe he should just start with those.

How much are the parasound or Rotel seperates, maybe he should just start with those.

Not enough to do it with a $1000 budget, considering a good set of DIY towers plus a center are probably going to be $500-600. Bump the total up to $1500 and that'd be much more doable...

honestly....i don't need top-of-the-line equipment...all i have now is a sony 5.1 receiver and a pair of Cerwin Vega E78 bookshelves...so anything even medium quality will be a significant upgrade. i mostly would use it for movies but my wife likes to listen to either the radio/cd's, or one of the digital music channels during the day
