Need some advice...

Hi, I'm looking for a budget sound quality setup that would be less than 200 for 2 subs (either 10's or 12's), I am aware that at this price I will probably have to buy used which I have no problem of doing. I have checked my local craigslist and there was nothing that really peaked my interest. So I figured I'd look to the wiser crowd for some reccomendations on where to look.

For someone looking for a sub on a tight budget, I almost always recommend going the single sub route. Buying multiple drivers has some advantages over single sub systems, but bang for your buck is rarely one of them.

Lets start off by asking why you want two drivers.

Thanks, I guess I have just always had that mentality, because I know while it is most likely not the case, it seems that all the single driver systems I hear compared to multiple driver systems lack something, just not entirely sure what... but I'm definetly not opposed to a single driver system

no, thats a pretty good deal. depending on the box, those subs should deliver the sq you want. Im gonna assume that the amp is a 400.1, which are nice little amps, they do close to 500rms..

also, the subs Mclerico linked are pretty good for the price as well

The guy that is selling the JL's said it was a 2 channel amp and he is currently running each at 2ohms and they are recieving 200watts rms each not exactly sure what amp that would be...

my friend had a pair of the Pheonix Golds in a sealed box they were pretty loud but I wasnt too impressed with their SQ, they just didnt really seem that clean, the bass seemed rather loose and boomy, is there an easy way to increase the dampening factor?

May have had a ****** *** signal...

I like RE SE good output and SQ. Not the easiest sub to find as they aren't made any more.
