Hey guys,
Right now I have 2 Sony 12" XS-123P5s running at about 300RMS a piece. I was thinking of upgrading my stuff this summer, but having trouble on deciding what to get. I'm tryin not to break the bank though... I'm not sure if it'll be worth trying to move up to 15"s. Not alot of companies show the excursion measurement so I don't know if you guys will be able to help me.
I know that the more surface area, the more air it moves...so 15s would make sense, but I don't know of anyone offhand who has one that size and if it sounds just as good as a 12. The other thing is the more excursion, the more air it can move. The only way I can tell which has more movement is the size of the rubber surround seal...the bigger it it is, the more the cone will move...
