Need new speakers....

Ok, I'm lookin for replacement speakers for my 99' Honda Civic. 6.5" front and 6x9 rear. I want something that will get realllllly loud. I have a kicker zx650.4 and will be using it. I was looking at 02 audio and eminence. I know no one likes the sq on them but i do for how loud they get. Only thing about o2 is that theyre 100 per 6.5" lol I'm thinking more around 50. Looking for the PA style driver that can be used in car audio. Like I said, loud. So around $250 for all the speakers. I have the seperate tweets so I'll be looking to replace those too. Prob. spend around 50 for tweets. Sorry for the long post lol.

Is there any way I can get rid of my rear fill and just run the 6.5" and tweets seperates up front w/o custom door panels and get reeeeeally loud?

just take out your rear speakers and spend more money on the front.

what exactly is your budget for front comps and an amp? also figure in wiring. I assume you have a head unit already?

Anyway a good budget setup would be:

Phoenix Gold RSD 6.5" comps

Profile 2channel Amp

and an 8AWG amp kit from KnuKonceptz

Total is just over $200 plus shipping

Also, I will be adding in a substage sooner or later so the rear fill isnt a must. So maybe just one really good component set up front...

Most factory systems push about 8 to 20 watts rms into the speakers, depedning on make, model, audio option, blah blah etc etc. Some factory systems can get fairly loud.

Those RSd's with a clean 120-160w rms have the potential to perform vastly better. Install is a big key here. Don't skimp on the install and the results will speak for themselves.

Nah, lots of people on here send them 100-120 watts. As long as its good clean power with no clipping, those PG comps will sing.

No, you wouldn't. As long as it's a clean 120-160w rms (non distorted, non clipped), they'll perform beautifully with no problems at all. Lots of reviews out there stating that's actually what the owners recommend others to do.

Is the $250 budget just for a pair of comps? Or does that include a sub as well? If it's just comps, then I would recommend the Rainbow SLC 265 Kick. You can get them shipped to you for about that price, maybe a little more. But definitely under $300.

Those would satisfy. All the midbass you can handle, and can take a lot of power.
