Need new amp

i personally would not buy any of them.they would do the trick just dont know how well.there is a cdt combo set with comps and coaxials on sale right now i can give you a good price on.also as far as amp.with a decent budget for an amp ,you can get a nice one ,is size an issue for the amp?
Could you PM with with more details about this combo set? like the prices for coax and comps and amp for that...and then a mono amp for my subs

My bad. I swear your post said 12w3's. Im sure it would work great with 10w3's. Plus that will open you up to other subs in the future without having to change amps. From what I have been told its always better to have more amp then you need. That way you can give your subs the power they need and your amp can stay in its comfort zone instead of pushing it hard all the time.

Pretty sure the 12w3v3-4 only rated for 300 watt rms. Wouldnt 500 watts do damage over time? And correct me if im wrong but two 4 ohm subs can only be wired down to a 2 ohm load.

The 12W3v3-4 is best used with amplifier power in the 150W - 500W range and is optimized to operate in a compact 1.125 cu. ft. (31.8 l) sealed enclosure, or a 1.75 cu. ft. (49.6 l) ported enclosure

Straight from Jl's website

Cant beat the website. Hopefully JL isn't lying about the specs //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/dont.gif.ed5870f9483b695f9745036963f41c24.gif

Strange how a few sites list the w3v3 at 300 watt rms while JL and a few others say 500 watts. And for the life of me I cant find a w3v3 thats dual 4. I can on find a single 4 or a single 2. If the op has 10w3v3-4 which is a single 4 wouldnt two give you 2 ohm?

And I hope jl doesnt lie about the specs. If they do I need to turn my gain down.

Im pretty positive the two 10w3v3-4's that i have are SVC 4 ohms, which I'm pretty sure should mean i have to wire the amp at 2 ohms?? is that correct? so Im looking for an amp that gives about 1000Wx1 @ 2ohms or 500Wx2 @ 2ohms? I don't want to under power or over power my subs so I'm pretty sure i should get an amp that will put about 500W to each sub. If thats correct here are some amps that i found, which ones do you think will work best?:

-Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D

-Memphis 16-PR1X1000

-JL 1000/1v2

If you have any other ideas for amps feel free to post...
