Why is my car audio amplifier clipping at 12.4 volts? I've been encountering this issue two days before as I got an installation of amp a week ago and was working flawless. The wiring seems to be fine. Any recommendations?

Is your gain set right?
Try turning your gain down all the way, set your volume of your head unit to around 75 to 80% volume, and slowly increase your gain until the system is as loud as you want it without clipping.

If there isn’t an unseen problem, then yes that will fix it for good.
