Is your gain set right?
Try turning your gain down all the way, set your volume of your head unit to around 75 to 80% volume, and slowly increase your gain until the system is as loud as you want it without clipping.

If you want 5 channels of amplification you just need 5 channels of amplification. You can do this with 5 amps or 1, depends on budget and space...
