Need Help!

ok I kinda want to venture in a new direction...I LOVE MY JL 10w7 however I am ready to move on to something with a little more spl (they sound great and hit low but doesnt get too loud or loud enough for me)...what do you guys prefer for spl AND sq (i dont want too much weight in the back).

Do you want another 10" or are you looking to go bigger to gain some output? What is your budget? How much power do you have to work with?

After the 10 different brands I tested for myself I fell in love with The T3 Audio TSS. They can handle tremendous power, and they are incredibly efficient and play very very low at high dB levels.

My second choice is Kicker L7. Only problem is that they are square and you would need a new box.

You may need a bigger amp if you want it louder though.

perferably a 10" because i dont like TOO much extra weight but if its bigger then a single woorfer, my budget is about whatever i could get for a 10w7 w/box and 500/1 combo, and as far as power goes....nothing extremely high cause im having trouble just pushing my setup now (ive done the big three and upgraded my battery). Thanks for the responses guys

The JL w7 13 is rated at 1000, 12 is rated at 750, and 10 is rated at 500.

i run my 10w7 off an 81000d in a ported box.(1.65 cuft tuned to around 32 hz) i ran this off a power 1100a2 for a while(untill i sold it) and it took the power great and got very loud and extreamly clean. you may want to try a ported box(if you havent allready) and a lot more power.

just my -.02 worth.

ok ill try a ported box then cause right now im running it in a sealed box. ill try gettin a bigger amp then and seeing if that works....cause i do like my 10w7 =D...curious though what kind of car do you have?

93 olds cutlass, check out the gallery under the vic24 and you will see a pic of the box and amp. generally you will get up to a 3db increase in output witha ported box over a sealed box. i did however, have to use a 1.75"wide slot port, the 1.5" recomended had just a little too much noise for me. i plan on, in the near future, to change out the 81000d with a fusion nv-am 2500.
