I just finished building a ported box for my 2 pioneer subs. When i hooked everything up they worked. Once i turn the volume up the subs will cut out then come back for like 1 hit then cut out again? Any clue whats wrong?

be sure you are presenting the correct resistance to the amp

Well i wired the subs to a 2 ohm load but my amp says it can handle 2 ohms. /idk if that has anything to do with it?

check it w/ dmm

digital multi meter, and look at what the resistance is at the amp(ohm)

ok well my amp says it is 2 ohm stable and it is but not really it cuts when i turn it up so i guess its back to 4 ohm

Is it bridged to 2 ohm?

Or is each channel stable to 2 ohms?

Might only be stable bridged to 4 ohms?
