y do you need an 8 ohm amp? i would reccommend using a 2 ohm stereo amp or a 2 ohm mono amp

I bought a rockford 500a2 amp and the guy at the counter said it would not be powerful enough and i should buy an amp with 8 ohms

hx2's are usually dual 4 ohm subs, so you can wire them to get a 2 ohm load. if you do this and hook it up to your amp it would get enough power. just make sure you mount the amp where it can get a lot of air flow, b/c it might have a tendancy to overheat a little bit due to the 2 ohm load, but it should be fine

This enfuriates the black guy so he tries again:

now the black guy is FURIOUS and says: MOTHA F@*$ A!! and runs over to a big boulder and picks it up, he runs back to the lake and throws it in:

BA, BOON!!!!

Let me guess you have 2 8 ohm rockfords if so you can run i parallel and go to 4 ohm then you have a much better variety of amp almost anything is posible
