Im confused on how to wire my subs. I just bought a 2 channel amp and i have 2 DVC subs. I want to hook them up in parallel to produce an ohm load of 4. Looking at the diagram i noticed that on the back side of the subs, you wire positive to negative. How am i supposed to do that. Do i take the speaker wire and hook the positive side up to the positive terminal and the negative side to the negative terminal or do i just take one wire and run it across from positive terminal to negative terminal???

hey, you can click here to go to the voicecoil wiring options sticky in the car audio 101 > wiring and electrical help section you posted in. Not trying to be an *** but its right at the top //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I saw the diagrams but im still confused. To wire the positive terminal to the negative terminal how do i do that?

Do i simply ake one speaker wire and hook it up or should i take the positive wire to the positive terminal and the negative wire to the negative terminal thanks

if I follow what you want to do, then this diagram is the one you want to use:

you hook the positive terminal up to the negative terminal with another piece of speaker wire, doesn't matter which one you use(either the positive or negative wire) just make sure to use a separate piece. and to get the 2 wires necessary to wire it, if the amp is close to the woofers, I sometimes take 2 positives and before inserting them into the amp terminals, I twist both together then run each wire to its respective sub, then do the same for the negative wires. Then just take another piece of speaker wire and wire them up, if you dont have a lot of wire, you can use the positive cable on one sub and the negative wire on the other sub. If you had the wire and wanted a nice looking install you could run a large wire out of the amp(maybe 8 gauge?) into a distro block that will give you 2 wires to go to each sub, Im not sure what kind of power you are moving so the wires sizes may need to be changed. If you have any questions feel free to post them and if I dont get to it Im sure someone will---Dinty
