need help

recently upgraded(or at least tried to) my factory shaker system in my mustang, i have 2 12 inch sony xplode subs and a 1200 watt power acoustik amp . Being low on funds, i did not have the privelege of being able to replace my factory head unit so i had to use an rca converter because te head unit does not come with rca jacks i cannot seem to get any where the same type of power that i used to get from the same system is there anything i can do or maybe wire anything different?

its because of the head unit i would believe. it doesnt put out enough power.

so what could i do? other than getting rid of the hu(not an option, low on funds)

theres nothing you can do but buy a new hu. you'll just have to settle with what you have for now until you can afford one. You could get a cheap one off of here for 50-60 when you do get some money.

my first thought as well but the hu sounded great before i even tried any mods and still does throughout the car it's just the subs that im having a problem pushing do u think its the hu undeniably?

i aslo forgot to mention that i cant seem to raise the power level on my amp to more than about a quarter without it sounding like shit i think it has something to do with the rca converter do u have any experience with them?
