Im no audio guru, and would like some input. Right now i have a single cab f-150 with a single 10 firing downward. I have a Diamond D610 being pushed by a PA VX900/1 Farad Cap. It seems like i have to constantly adjust the amp to get decent sound out of the sub. I constantly jump from Rap to head pounding metal. Im not sure how many cubes my box is, or what its tuned to.
I just want head pounding bass, thats clean and wont cost a ton for a sub to use. I know diamond makes decent subs, but i think im looking for something with more SPL. Im thinking a 10w6v2. Im not exactly sure how much mounting depth room i have. Ill be pulling my seat this week and ill do some measurements. My box was built at a local shop, and i assume they have a clue on what they're doing. Im not even sure if there is polyfil in the box. SHould there be?
Anyone have any recommendations on what to do? Also, whats a way to determing what freq my box is tuned for?
IM lost in my setup. Ive gone from Rockfords, to Bostons, to Diamonds, and im not happy with it.
Help!
