need help

hooked up my cdplayer and now my subs make a thumping noise that is not with the music...it happens when there is no music on any help will be appreciated

Maybe a bad RCA cable? try diconnecting them and see if it quits.

Also, check over your speaker wires (for the sub), if those are touching ground you could get the same noise.

It sounds like your RCA's might be pinched. I would check them and make sure they aren't. If they are, you need to replace your RCA's with a new set, and watch where you place them.

sometimes the noise is soft and sometimes it is loud....yes my wires are correct...also my mids and highs go off when i play the radio but when i play a cd it comes back on

yep, prolly ur ground came loose or you didn't prep the surface enough

i didn't even touch my ground.....it was already grounded so i just hooked it up...i dunno guess i'll have to pay for someone to look at it which i didn't want to do i wanted to learn how to do it on my own

your cables are being pinched somewere, i had the same problem. does your HU have the stock grounding location?
