mb quartz, infinity, and focal make some of the better components. fosgate, jl, orion, phoenix gold, ppi (older models), and memphis are some of the bigger names in sub amps. but there are a lot of companies out there, go take a look. but these are some of the most common ones i mentioned.

As for the compoents, I say go for MB Quart, JL, Focal, or Infinity. But first goto a store and listen to them before you actually buy them.
