Need help with wiring my subwoofer?

I have a dvc 15'' Fi BL Fully Loaded (2000 watts). And the amp i have is a Rockford Fosgate Prime R1000-1D the specs are (4 ohms 500 watts x 1 chan. & 2 ohms 1000 watts x 1 chan). And i have the sub wired like the pic below. Is the sub receiving the full 1000 watts? And i plan on upgrading to a 1500 watt amp how big of a difference will this amp make compared to the 1000 watt amp?

No its only getting 500 Watts if that's how you have it wired! Write it down to 1 ohm and just that will make a world of difference!

By the diagram you chose, you have a DVC2ohm sub, and an amp that is only 2 ohm stable mono..Looks like you did not choose your amp and subs wisely..Looks like you will need to wire to 4 ohms mono,or get another sub/amp,a sub that will be a dvc4ohm to run 2ohms oin that amp, or an amp that will be 1 ohm stable to get the most out of the sub, and the amp.Yet, you can still use the amp, and sub, but less power for both will be received

Yea a year ago when i bought the amp i was a complete noob to car audio but i sold my old subs and just bought this sub. But if i got another amp and wired it down to 1 ohm at 1500 watts how big of a difference would it make cause to me its pretty loud right now but it doesn't seem to move much air.

If u go with a 1500watts amp then it'll make a big difference since ur sub is only getting 500watts right now
