Need Help with Voltage Drop

Allright I have a DC lvl 4 xl and an aq 2200d on it.. I have 0 gauge wire ran to the amp... I have the big 3 done n 0 gauge also.. And I got an optima red top battery today.. And my amp still clips when I have the music sorta loud.. I'm not keeping truck long so I dnt wanna buy another alternator.. But it seems like the big 3 hasn't done nothing. What else could I possible do to help my voltage from dropping

how bigs your alt?

agm battery hooked to the amp possibly but if your alt is dying this will just help kill it

you can try another extra battery `but you need an alt probably

Definitely need more battery reserve.

I have no clue what size alt I have I would have to look n the morning.. If I did add another battery what kinda should I get? Is there an explanation why the big 3 and an optima battery isn't enough to keep this one amp from clippin like crazy

Because Optimas are generally ****** batteries, to be honest; and that Red Top is NOT designed for heavy discharge from car audio. Also, trying to run 2k on a single battery and stock alternator is downright foolish. Deka Intimidators/93A1s, C&D Technologies High Rate Max, Kinetik, and XS Power are all great choices

dekas are cheap. kinetiks are over rated. xs is solid batts but you gotta pay for em

This. Also, how much voltage drop are you getting? Have actually measured it or are you just assuming that a clipping amp can only be the result of inadequate voltage?
