Ok I have been studying everything about car audio I can find lately and there is a ton of terminology, which is a pain to find. If there is a site where there is most of the terminology for car audio is listed that would be great, but I have already been to this site:Subwoofer terminology - Audioholics Home Theater Forums

Thats my first question my next is about getting my first system. I want to have a daily use system that is LOUD, one of those systems that you can hear from far away. I was looking at the FI BTL 15" subwoofer. I don't know much about the customizable options for it, and I can't find many reviews online about them, so if anyone has any feedback for that subwoofer it would be great, and I want to get two of those in a 6th order bandpass box. I don't know if this would be acceptable for the type of system I want.(daily use LOUD). I actually have many questions but Ill keep it decently short for now. Thanks.

Whats the budget? what type of vehicle? Do you know how many amps your alternator is rated at? 2 of those subs with the right amp

will pound very nicely. try out this site, it's a good one and covers mostly everything about car audio and keeps it simple and understandable to a newb.

Basic Car Audio Electronics

do alot of reading first before you start buying gear. this way you will hopefully not buy things that you will replace 6months down the line. Check out the classifieds here as there are some great deals on sub amps and batterys and alot of other stuff. GL I'm subscribed want to see how this turns out

The budget is 2000$ and this may sound retarded but I don't have the car yet, but im pretty sure I will be getting a honda civic year 1990-2000. I don't know how many amps the alternator is at. I have just started to check the site you posted for me and the first page is very explanatory and interesting thankyou for that. Also when you say your suscribed, you want updates on how my system turns out?

Well the first step is the car. lol

and chances are you wont be able to fit 2 15s into a civic without walling it.

you might be able to get everything you need to run 2 12 inch btls for 2k, but its cutting it close. personally i would run either 2 BLs, if your set on FI or possible 2 sundown audio z v2s, or 2 dc audio level 4s. find an amp that does a true 2000-3000 watts. upgrade your front batt with a nice batt from xs, then buy 2 or 3 for the back. that should be close too 2 grand. now if you need a headunit, and speakers as well. id go with a single 15 inch btl, or DC XL on 1500-2000. and skip the batteries in the back

Oh cool how do i suscribe to threads? and haha what do you mean by walling my civic? it falling apart? Yeah I still gotta make a ton of measurments and stuff for the box for the FI BTL's but let me ask, what do you guys think about the FI BTL brand? Is it reliable and does it stick true to it's specs?
