I'm *completely* new to car audio. I know a bit about home audio/theatre, but never had the funds to get into dedicated amplifiers and whatnot.
In any event, I have a 99 Camry XLE that I'm looking to put some thump into. My budget is at max, $2000 but I'm looking to spend around $1500. I realize the more you spend, the higher the quality of your components and all, but budget is a significant issue. This means, of course, that I'm looking for the "best bang for my buck." Here is a summary of the parts I was considering... I could use some input, ideas, whatever.

Obviously I'm missing some stuff. One of my main things was during my reading, which I've been doing only for a couple days, I've had trouble figuring out what I should do about an amp for the woofers. I was looking at a couple Class D amplifiers and my question is this; the MTX's are 400w RMS suggested a piece, so should I be looking for an amp that can pump 800w x 1 RMS, 400w x 2 RMS (I realize this is 2-ch and probably isn't what I need) or what?
Also, what would be the ideal enclosure? Sealed or vented?
I am trying to wait on buying the 4-ch amp for the fronts/rears, to keep within budget. I would like to have the ability to upgrade the system and I figure that is one of the things I can hold off on. Thanks in advance for any help.
