I have 4 Savard Rap 15" subwoofers that I would like to get reconed. Age has taken it's wear on them. Problem is I have done tons of searching online and no one has recone kits for the specs of these speakers.

Can anyone help me out?I am in Ohio and it would be great to find someone close. But I will ship them. I just need them done right! Thanks for your time.

that's the problem I have run into. No one has anything in the specs for the speakers. The Savard used a "flat" spot at the recone top where all the kits today have a "slanted" spot on top their recone kits. I cannot tell if the newer kits would work and neither can the guys selling the kits.(lol)

Good luck finding a recone for that. Chances are, you're going to have to get em custom made. If I were you, I'd just get with the times //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

My buddies tell me the same thing, to just by new and move on. But I really like the sound of these subs. I have had them almost 20 years!(lol) And the 4 other Savard subs I have in my truck pound better than anything around.

Anyone that can help please post away or feel free to send me a PM if you know anyone who can do these with a price.Thanks.

Im a big old-school guy too, and even I would move on to new subs. Amps and such, sure the old school stuff is pretty much just as good as the new stuff. But for subs... even a mediocre sub today would probably best a 'nice' woofer from 20 years ago. I have subs sitting around here that were bad *** top-of-the-line drivers 10 years ago... and now even entry-level subs have better specs.

With all the BL optimized motors, long travel suspensions, etc ... on the new subs today, there's no way you couldn't find something that didn't sound superior to your Savards, while easily outperforming them.
