I am going to run 2 15" Hifonics Brutus Subs. I want more SPL or even SQL. I want subs firing back and ports either firing up or foward but i have no idea what goes into a ported box or how to tune it.

They suggest for "SPL-Very Boomie-Loud"

Box Volume - 4.15 a piece so ill need 8.30 Cubic feet

Fb - 46 HZ

Port size Height - 15.5"

Port Size width - 3.5"

Port Length - 18"

F3 - 37 Hz

All this information is on page 5 -

This is going to sound super stupid but i do not have a car yet for this so i need the box just 8.30 Cubic feet. I will tweak measurments to make it fit my car when i get one but i need a base to build it. I will be using either 1/2" or 3/4" plywood.

1. Do some research.

2. Don't use plywood. Use MDF.

3. Depending on your car, have fun getting 8 cubes in the trunk. I have a big trunk (Grand Prix) and I can barely fit 5 cubes.

4. Ask around for someone to design or even build you a box if you have absolutely no idea what you're doing.

That is all.
