Hi, this will be my first actual box i have made and designed. I started off buying a already made acrylic faced box. and quickly realized it was gonna be a huge pain in the ass.

Also I am building this for my gf so there has to be as much room as possible in her trunk and also keep the acrylic face.

The box came out to be around 3cf, I still need bracing but I was wondering if it would even be possible to put a port and have it sound better.
I would like to utilized the 8" hole where the existing factory was removed. so the port facing straight up.

first pic is what i started with
second is the box i built
third is semi finished

We wouldn't want it to be a pain in the ass. How much room does she have in her trunk?
There is no more room for a bigger box.
I'm going to be using the box in the las picture. I think I will be alright with the cf I checked in winISD.

My question is because the box has weird angles would it effect a 4 inch round port, also does the orientation of the port make a difference?

Porting a subwoofer box requires exact measurements, anything off and you may end up ruinining the sub's sound quality. Sealed boxes save the most space and still have good output. With 3 subs I would not worry about output, it should sound great in the cabin. Did the manufacturer suggest 1 cubic foot per sub in a sealed box? BTW, nice job on the box, it is multi-tiered and it looks professional.

I have no specs on the subs other than they are recoil 10s so garbage lol

We are probably gonna upgrade to nvx VCW104v3. thats a bit down the road though

well here is the finished product for now.
Installed rgbic led strip lights on the inside that can be controlled by phone and sound, also had to carpet some 1 1/2" foam on the sides of the trunk to hide the full size spare. Made a aap rack out of carpeted 3/4 mdf too.

Unfortunately there was some existing holes in the 3/4 acrylic we tried to fill but were super obvious so SHE decided to add crystals to hide the discrepancy's

for now its ok, wanted to add a white border with paint but the paint kept bubbling up so i frosted it with 200

Nice, came out better than any box I have ever built. This is the first time I have ever seen a bedazzled sub box. Any issues with the bass going into the cabin?
None so far, there was a factory 8 inch subwoofer that I took out for a pass through, I'm definitely going to have to get some sound deadening material too.

I might pick up a spl tester too I'm curious to see what numbers it puts down and also what improvement 3 nvx subs will do
