this equation is driving me crazy. i put in my numbers and i keep getting strange answers. i think i am putting sumthing in wrong in my calculator.

.159*sqrt((A*1.84*10^8)/(V*(L+.823*sqrt(A)))))

A = port area

V = volume of the box NET

L = port length

764.2 in^3 = A

7155.8 in^3 = V

24.75" = L

could someone solve it for me. i feel stupid now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif

764.2 in^3 = A

Right there is your problem.

1) This might be a typo....I don't know, but the port cross-sectional area should be in square inches, not cubic inches.

2) Is this a wall? If not, your port area is way off. A 24" by 24" port would only have 576in^2 of area. Your port mouth would have to be about 2 feet wide by 2.5 feet high to have as much port area as you're listing.

So, in my guesstimation, looks like your port area is off, which is throwing off your answer.
